In class we have to pair up with another member of the class, we each have a designated e-learning word and have to make a sentence together with our partners word (so the two combined).
In order to figure a word i went onto google and typed in e-learning glossary. My partner and i chose a word from the internet site called learning circuits. org. It was good to get a word from the glossary, because i do not have enough knowledge about e-learning to figure a word out for myself. Also another useful reason for using the glossary was that it intorduced me to different words used in e-learning.
My partner and i figured that the website learningcircuits.org, is a reliable and accurate source to use because it is created by ASTD Workplace Learning and Performance, in 2000. In this website there are many editors that create these articles, which may hinder the credability, because there may be some bias existant due to own editors opinion in technology.
The new word i have learnt during this excercise is LMS. According to Kaplan-Leiserson from the learning circuits web site a LMS is a “software that automates the administration of training”, and is designed to handle a number of publishers and provders at the same time.
